Hui Liu is a corporate affiliate visiting fellow at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) for 2016-17.  He has worked at PetroChina for 22 years.  Currently, he is the Deputy Director-General of the President's Office and in charge of policy research to business strategy design, corporate official communication management, and general management of administration and emergency.  Liu received his bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Southwest Petroleum University in China.
