Biography

Jianru Guo is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University. His research concentrates on organization and management in higher education. In particular, his research interests include academic production and training, cooperation with industries for economic development, private higher education, and vocational colleges in China. He received his BA, MA, and PhD in sociology from Peking University.

His recent publications include Prestige, Property Rights, and Managment: The Mystery of University-run Enterprises in China (2010) and the Change of the Financing Institution of Rural Compulsory Education: Sociological Perpective (2010).
