Jane Huang

Jane Huang is a global affiliate visiting scholar at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) for 2026-27. Huang is an author and parenting educator whose work focuses on parenting, learning, and child development in rapidly changing social and technological environments..

Huang is the author of three books on parenting, learning, and child development in Chinese. Her online educational courses and public lecture series have reached more than 29 million viewers. Earlier in her career, she worked as a business consultant with Arthur Andersen in Hong Kong and Shanghai, where she was part of the team establishing the firm's new Shanghai office. She later spent more than three decades working in arts and cultural production across Asia, Europe, and the United States. She holds an MBA from Indiana University. 

While at APARC, Huang will research how AI and digital technologies are reshaping parenting strategies and children's developmental experiences across China, Japan, and Korea, with the United States as a comparative reference point.
