Videographer / Video Content Creator
APARC is seeking a skilled and creative Videographer / Video Content Creator to produce compelling, high-quality video content across digital platforms. This role involves managing on-location video production, including setting up and operating camera, lighting, and audio equipment, and ensuring strong framing, exposure, and sound quality in various environments. The videographer must be comfortable shooting and composing content for both portrait and landscape formats while maintaining a strong visual storytelling approach aligned with brand goals.
The position also requires end-to-end post-production expertise, including editing videos to match brand tone, adding captions and on-screen text for accessibility and engagement, and incorporating graphics, images, or overlays where appropriate. The role includes creating optimized thumbnails and formatting videos for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and other social media channels, as well as collaborating with marketing or content teams to support broader campaign objectives.
In addition, the videographer will analyze social media performance metrics, including views, watch time, retention, and engagement, to refine future content and stay current with platform trends and best practices. The ideal candidate has proven videography and editing experience, proficiency with industry-standard software, and a strong understanding of platform-specific video requirements. A demonstrated interest in international affairs (especially Indo-Pacific and policy issues), strong storytelling skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential. Motion graphics, analytics tools, or marketing experience are considered a plus.
The role is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Hourly rate range of $29.04–$48.49 per hour, 6-8 hours per week.
