Dr. Yong Lee at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies is looking to hire an undergraduate research assistant for the 2018-2019 academic year and the possibility to work through the summer of 2019.
The research assistant will assist Dr. Lee in a couple of his research projects related to technology, entrepreneurship, and the labor market in Asia and the US.
Main duties include
(1) Data collection and input from hard copies
(2) US Census data management related to employment
(3) Descriptive analysis of the datasets
The ideal candidate would be majoring in Economics or Management Science and Engineering and should be comfortable with statistical tools (Stata, R, Excel). Knowledge of Korean or Japanese is a plus but not necessary.
