Mr. Meale now leads the China Practice of the Eurasia Group, where he advises global clients and thought leaders on strategic, economic, and political developments related to China.
In this talk, Mr. Meale will outline U.S. and Chinese goals for their bilateral relationship and offer insights on the contours of any deal between the two countries and prospects for cooperation on global challenges. During 30 years at the U.S. Department of State, Mr. Meale has also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for trade and sanctions policy and held senior U.S. diplomatic roles in Ukraine and Bangladesh in addition to 13 years in Greater China.
