The Asia Health Policy Program (AHPP) at Stanford’s Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center empowers health systems and policymakers in the Asia-Pacific region to improve their proactive responses to population health problems. We contribute Asia-specific evidence to guide healthcare providers and policy audiences towards better understanding of health and demographic issues and more effective delivery of disease management and other health services. We do so by conducting comparative research, collaborating with experts throughout the Asia-Pacific region and around the world, supporting young scholars from the region, hosting public forums, and sharing our publications.
Our research projects encompass issues such as chronic disease management, public-private collaborations tackling innovation for healthy aging, the economics of financing longevity, and productivity adjusted for quality in healthcare, among others.
We share our research findings through peer-reviewed journals, scholarly and trade presses, Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center’s publishing program, and our own working paper series.
