We support eminent and emerging scholars and professionals by teaching undergraduate and graduate students, offering educational outreach activities, and providing a variety of fellowship and visiting scholar opportunities.
The Korea Program partners with Stanford’s Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS), which offers a master's degree in East Asian Studies with a specialization in Korea, and we often co-organize lectures on Korean history, culture, and literature.
We also support the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE) in its educational outreach to U.S. secondary teachers and students by helping develop curriculum units on Korea and online courses on Korea for high school students.
For more than a decade, thanks to generous support from the Koret Foundation, our Koret Fellowship in Korean Studies brought leading professionals and scholars from Asia and the United States to Stanford to conduct research on contemporary Korean affairs, with the broad aim of strengthening U.S.-Korea ties.

Stanford Next Asia Policy Lab Fellowships
The lab (SNAPL), led by Korea Program Director Gi-Wook Shin, offers postdoctoral and visiting fellowships for scholars of contemporary Asia.
Each year our faculty teach Stanford undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, and mentor students through internships and other educational opportunities.
